 One day, the main character, Satoru Fujinuma, an unsuccessful manga artist, is naturally warped back to his elementary school days. There, his classmate Kayo Hinatsuki was continuously abused by her parents, so he and his friends go to help her.

Above all, the children's drawings are cute.

Then, Satoru Fujinuma is killed, whereupon he returns to the present day and the story continues in the second stage.

If you want to start with the visuals, I recommend the NetFlix version. I can say that this is more complete than the original, faithfully depicting the original story, but with the warmth that only live-action can provide.
